To write is to cry in silence

If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello

Today I will be sharing some quotes from one of my favorite authors, Paulo Ceolho. He wrote the famous brilliant book “The Alchemist” , this book changed my perspective on so many things, it should be in every reader’s possession.

To write is to cry in silence (my favorite)

Anyone who loves in the expectation of being loved in return is wasting their time

No one can lie, no one can hide anything, when he looks directly into someone’s eyes.

Writing means sharing. It’s part of the human condition to want to share things – thoughts, ideas, opinions.

When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

Life was always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act

Love is a trap. When it appears, we see only its light, not its shadows

I write from my soul. This is the reason that critics don’t hurt me, because it is me. If it was not me, if I was pretending to be someone else, then this could unbalance my world, but I know who I am.

Things do not always happen the way I would like them to happen, and I had better get used to that.

If it’s still in your mind, it is still in your heart

You’re always learning. The problem is, sometimes you stop and think you understand the world. This is not correct. The world is always moving. You never reach the point you can stop making an effort.

The two worst strategic mistakes to make are acting prematurely and letting an opportunity slip; to avoid this, the warrior treats each situation as if it were unique and never resorts to formulae, recipes or other people’s opinions ~ Paulo Coelho

I hope you enjoyed reading, you can also share some of your favorite quotes, books and authors to keep the train moving.

Happy Monday.. xoxo

  1. Thanks for sharing your favorite quotes.
This quote has been on my mind all day!!!
“I’m here, I said, and it felt shockingly comforting, those words. When I’m panicked, I say them aloud to myself. I’m here. I don’t usually feel that I am. I feel like a warm gust of wind could exhale my way and I’d be disappeared forever, not even a sliver of fingernail left behind. On some days, I find this thought calming; on others it chills me.”
    ― Gillian Flynn, Sharp Objects

  2. This is a good quote. I’m also a fan of Paolo Coehlo. If you’re ever looking for another read from Coehlo’s vast list, I really enjoyed ‘By the River Piedro I Sat Down and Wept’. It’s lesser known but a very sweet story.
